Duchi di Castelluccio winery, despite being of relatively recent origin, was able to become avant-garde within a few decades thanks to its transformation into an organic winery in 1990 and vegan in 2015.
Based in Abruzzo in central Italy at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level, Duchi di Castelluccio has a production that ranges from whites with the famous Passerina and Pecorino, to reds with the famous Montepulciano and rosé wines always made from 100% Montepulciano grapes.
For their ideal position between the sea and the Apennine arch, for the particular microclimate and for the composition of the soil, they safely express their natural vocation to the cultivation of the vine which, combined with the passion of man, produces grapes of absolute quality.
Among the red wines we remember the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, produced with 100% organic Montepulciano grapes, at an altitude of 280 meters and a sunny exposure.
The vinification takes place 6 months in steel with spontaneous fermentation. Among the red wines we remember the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, produced with 100% organic Montepulciano grapes, also at an altitude of 280 meters and a sunny exposure.
The vinification takes place 6 months in steel with spontaneous fermentation. The color is a beautiful ruby red with purple streaks, the scent is reminiscent of black fruits, licorice and chocolate and the taste has an excellent structure with soft, sweet and long-lasting tannins.
